It walks in dark silence, the baubles and spoons and charms that hang from its belt swaying soundlessly as it moves o'er vale and fen. It seeks naught, but it finds. It quarrels not, but it battles. It winds the knot and shears it twain as knights ride ell and kings dance at court.
The bones of the eldrelg bear our sins like an iron collar as it seeks the false king and the true crown. The skull defies the people with steel and stonesalt, with lead and flaming waters, and the people are as the herd with no master.
The old divinity rests not and the Spoonman shall be carried through the ages as on a harsh gale. So it has been since the old wars, before the living dome of the northwest coast came to be, and shall ever be through strife without end.

The Spoonman is a deity-type figure in the world of the Septum, a living dome that separates an entire nation from the events of the rest of the world. The Septum has existed for centuries, and the government does not allow citizens to exit the dome for any reason. Attempts to do so are met with correctional treatment or, in repeat attempts or in suspicious cases, execution. It is possible for outsiders to enter the dome but such a thing hasn't been witnessed by the domers, and those who make it in are usually damaged in some way by the ordeal.
The legend of the Spoonman has existed within the Septum for years, but the figure itself resides outside the dome. It is believed to be a demi-god, or at the very least a mythical beast or angel, and it is seen frequently on battlefields both historical and new. If it shows up before the fighting begins it will typically open fire on both sides of the field. It rarely interacts with civilians, but when it does the encounters are brief and relatively peaceful.
The Spoonman carries charms and trinkets from all denominations, as well as an old polished-wood chessboard. In recent years it has taken to challenging people to play, and there is suspicion that these games are part of something more sinister.

Why does this have no comments aaaah! It is so beautiful! I love the contrast, the tones and the pose. I love the assymetrical and rickety looking antlers and that grin hidden slightly by his bandana! This is so amaaaazing hnnnng.
